#18 - Knockoff Purses

Fashion nowadays - it’s designer, or it’s not. There’s no in between, if ands and buts, and no room for questions. So if you can’t afford designer, then what? You get the next best thing. Designer Replicas, aka knockoffs, have taken the Black community by storm. Sold out of trunks of cars, Asian supermarkets, and in local barbershops and beauty salons, knockoff purses can be seen from Hollywood to Harlem.
Most Black women currently own or have once had a knockoff designer purse. To them these aren’t knockoffs, they’re replicas. Black women love these purses not only because they’re cheap, but they can purchase one to match (very important) each of their single colored tracksuits. In your local shopping mall you will probably see countless Louis Vuitton purses accompanied by Black women, as you get closer the L & V will disappear and you realize, that they never existed.
There are many places where a knockoff can be sported accordingly. Such as to the laundromat, when taking out the trash, and when going jogging. It’s probably not in the Black females best interest to wear her knockoff purse out with her Educated Black friends or white friends. She will automatically be labeled uneducated and unfit to be in their group, or they’ll put together a charity fund out of pity to purchase her a new purse.
Advice for White People: When approaching a Black woman with a knockoff purse, do not point out the impostor handbag, and mention how fake goods are ruining the market. This will probably cause a scene you may want to avoid. It’s best to put on your best ethnic voice and proclaim, “cute purse, gurrrl, where’d you get that at?” The black female will then proceed to tell you that it is a knockoff validating your suspicions.
Moral?
Why buy a 500 dollar purse? When you can buy a 50 dollar purse that looks just-alike with some minor differences and details? Why buy Coach when you can buy Goach? Why buy Gucci when you can cop Fucci?* Why buy Louis when you can get (Blank)? Just ask your Black girlfriend, she’ll know the answer.

LOL The worst insult to a black woman with a knockoff purse is being with her other black friends who has the REAL purse!
I can’t even afford a knock off purse, lol, so i stick to my random brands from Ross…They work wonders for a college student budget.
seriously! why buy the real thing when you can get a fake for like 30 bucks! people are dumb. knockoffs ftw
THIS SITE IS WACK YOU LIL ASSHOLE END OF STORY
its cool to have a few knock-off’s mixed with a few real ones…
to fuck you: then why bother commenting lmao you loser
i hate knockoffs…if you cant afford the real thing, wny not get a nice nine west or guess bag???? it kinda pisses me off…
It is absolutely unacceptable to purchase any accessory from a barbershop, korean market, or (gasp!)the trunk of a car! If you are gonna buy a knock-off, risk your freedom with the rest of white America and take your broke-ass down to Chinatown!
Pucci is a real brand, just as high-end as Gucci but not fake.
That said my ex bought me a really bad fake Louis that I couldnt even rock without sorrow.
LMAO@ ANON omggg.. that sucks. i hate knockoff louis period. they all look like shit
fake is not good… i hate it.. i would rather not have it… would anyone buy a fake mercedes? no.. thought not.. my pet peeve is when people like say matalan over here knock off say a miu miu shoe or bag.. i paid good money for my miu mius and now chavs are rocking their looki-likeys down the high street.. i know mine are real and have the knowledge that their hard leather/pvc foot-cutting heel blistering knockoffs are killing them.. but still..
why & how do these budget companies get away with it? yes go to high fashion labels and get something you can afford but do not rock the knock-off.. have some dignity…
This was funny until you mentioned Pucci.FYI Pucci is a real brand that is higher end than Gucci.lol.
You right
pucci fucci gucci
knock-off purses are almost always made by children working in forced labor.
its sad that people of any color pay thousands of dollars for an item that will decrease in value. that being said, EBP or UEBP both lose. The BP who pays the big bucks for a “real” designer whatever, has bought into the stereotypical BP image who has to have the latest whatever at any cost. And those who purchase the knockoffs…although a much wiser financial decision, those consumers have helped add more overtime for underage workers in those countries that that produce these cheap knock-offs. So its a lose-lose situation.

This is really insulting and I don’t find it amusing at all!!! IT’s not true that only black woman walk around with these wack ass knock-offs alot of these whites walk around with them too!! The only difference is that thy (majority of the time) can find better venders! Believe me averything that looks real isn’t real! Im a purse-aholic!!! And if I was able to put a fake and a real infront of your face I gurantee you that you won’t know the difference. Alot of people have become really good at copying the real so good you can bearly tell the difference just by its outside appearrance. I know some of you ladies have a real coach purse, right? And you got if from the coach store, right? Look on the inside tag and see if it saids Italy or China.Which one does it say? lol if it saids China baby girl hate to tell you the truth but you’ve been rocking not neccessarly a knock-off but a cheaper version of the real purse. Even the real purses makers are jipping you for your money!
CONTINUED…
If you didn’t already realize were in a really bad reccession…so bad that even brand purses especially coach is going down in value. See, now sending their purses over to China to be made because it’s cheaper then to send the purse here to be sold, charging you the same price it would have cost coming from italy! Can’t believe it? I dare you to go check it out yourself at your nearest coach store!
