My 15 Minutes Of Fame - NPR
Published by imaG May 12th, 2008 in anythingBlack
Announcement:
I’ll be on the show on NPR today around 12PM Central or a few minutes later. If you want to tune in just visit this link and type in your zip code so you can find your station! Hopefully I’ll do okay!
Listen to the segment here - Thanks to Farai Chideya and Jay Anderson of Average Bro and Shay Riley of Booker Rising
- I was “oh so unprepared” - Whatever tho, imaG.

I heard your segment on “News and Notes” today while listening to NPR Talk on Sirius - wow, you were horrible. You couldn’t even deliver your baseless opinions with conviction. Definitely in over your head in the company of someone as well-spoken and intelligent as Shay Riley. “Most white people are Republican” and there’s nothing Democrats can do to get the white vote? Hillary Clinton should address more than just white people? If she only addresses white voters, why did she win the Latino vote more than 2-to-1 in California, New York, and New Jersey on Super Tuesday? Latinos, btw, are a larger minority than blacks - and have been since 2003. Hillary Clinton is only pointing out a painful fact - there is a significant portion of America that Barack Obama is not winning over, and Democrats cannot win the presidency without Obama expanding his base. But he’s got the unemployed, 19-year-old nursery student/blogger’s vote. Hope he can ride that demographic to victory.
BTW, nice ejaculating penis cleavage tattoo pic - pure class. Look for your inaugural invite from the Obamas real soon.
Eh I was unprepared, not big on politics, dont care much for it. But its whatever yo I’m not trippin. It’s not my forté. But I’m glad you actually listened :)You can come here and flaunt your political knowledge but you can also suck me up while your at it, because thats how much its worth here. I’m glad you got your opportunity to come at me though. You’re just jealous
If you don’t like me or this blog, don’t visit. Compare my blog to Shay Rileys - totally unrelated. You my friend are an idiot.

First of all, I’m not sure where you come up with the assumption that imaG’s opinions were baseless. Do you dare suggest that Hillary Clinton is right in her not seeking the black vote, since it has become such a racial debate? Are we back to the ignorant notion that blacks don’t have enough hold in the population to make a difference? Is it okay that Hillary pays ill mannered attention to the black community, as if our race was insignificant? I think that it’s foolish to say that she could win the Democratic candidacy based on the Latino population. Maybe you’ve forgotten that though they are a majority in this country that nearly half of that population is hear illegally? Before you criticize my opinion and express anymore of your ignorance, reconsider your thoughts. Seems like people just can’t shake the feeling that Black people are “somebodies” in life. Does it hurt you that badly to see a black man take the highest held office in the nation? Word of advice, do your research, figure out your history…which is bound to repeat itself. Thomas Jefferson was a Black man, and now we have yet another great Black man rising above the foolishness of a hypocratic society. I say two thumbs up for the Black race…but you know what else? I have more sense than to say down with any other race, but I will represent my people, and will not take disrespect nonetheless.
MKLA=HATER
ok i just listened, MKLA was harsh yes but i understand the sentiments. IMAG no hate but yes you were unprepared, and even though politics may not be your forte (dont blame you @ your age) still it was NPR which is a pretty big deal, so im a bit disappointed. I understand it isnt a fair comparison of blogs such as you and average brother. However the fact that it was NPR, which i propped you when i first read that you’d be going on, you’d def want to be on your A-game as far as knowledge of topics covered, delivery of stance, etc. etc. But my dude your a young guy, so im not shitting on you. Kudos for getting on there anyway…but step the game up fam! Age isnt an excuse for ignorance. Holla!
You right Cease. Sall good tho, I’m not an ignorant fella - just haven’t got much to say about politics
its nothin, how many cats can say they were on NPR @ 19? Get em next time, and as for that i dont have much to say about politics, naah fam i dont wanna hear that, you gotta get be up 2 par on the issues. Its affecting all of us. Ok nuff said. we’re closed!
You right, no excuses for failure. If I ever get back on imma kill it.
Kill em next time. I’ve heard a few folks on their first time and it’s always ruff. The next time you’ll know what to expect and just take care of business. Congrats on getting to the point where they wanted to call you in, that is big time. (I’m still waiting on my call
)
I didn’t hear your snippet on NPR, but I listen faithfully every morning and late night. I think it is very impressive that you were even invited to be on the station. That portends of great things to come. Keep up the good work! Oh, and funny blog.
