Your retarded. Its not racist based on the number of people hung by the threads of the noose, its the broader symbolism behind it. The death of black people by the use of a noose is very recent and still on the minds of many American since we still have generations alive that remember these oppresive hate tactics.
In this case, if they wanted to identify with pirates they should have made a golden peg leg or eye patch. Maybe one could walk around with a gold parrot on their shoulder.

That is an ugly piece of jewelry and it doesn’t have much to do with pirates, but I don’t think it is racist at all. Are ships racists because black slaves were brought over in them? Are chains racist because black slaves were kept in them? Are whips racist because black slaves were punished with them? I think people are just trying to find things to be mad about.
Yes I understand that 50 years ago people would form mobs and hang people simply because of their skin color. That was horrible, but it’s silly to get mad at the appearance of a noose. I’ve always associated the noose with the executioner in Robin Hood tales. Only recently have I started associating the noose with lynch mobs, and that’s only because the media has made a big deal about it.
If I took a noose and flashed it at you and said “Get out of here you …”, then it would be understandable for you to get mad. If I have a noose hanging from my doorknob, then the reaction shouldn’t be any different than if I had a small guillotine on my desk.
